Slidell man indicted in fatal shooting of wife Slidell man indicted in fatal shooting of wife Advocate staff report Sept. 12, 2013 Comments A Tangipahoa Parish grand jury indicted a man Monday on second-degree murder in the April shooting death of his wife in April. District Attorney Scott Perrilloux said Richard LaGarrigue was indicted in the murder of Heather LaGarrigue, 28, in their Provost Lane home in Loranger on April 23. Richard LaGarrigue allegedly grabbed a handgun while arguing with his wife and shot her once before running away, Tangipahoa Parish sheriff’s spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto has said. Henderson police officers caught LaGarrigue, who now lives in Slidell, more than two hours later during a traffic stop in St. Martin Parish. In other matters, the grand jury returned a no true bill in the vehicular homicide case of Colby McNabb, 22, of Greensburg, meaning they declined to indict him. Perrilloux said his office still plans to charge McNabb with driving while intoxicated. McNabb was involved in a vehicle accident on U.S. 51 on June 23 in which Jeremy Owen, 26, Meadville, Miss., died. State Police had said they believed the two were racing when their cars touched, causing Owen to spin out of control and be ejected from his car.
