Slidell police are looking for a suspect who is considered armed and dangerous in a fatal shooting that happened at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Police spokesman Daniel Seuzenau said Sunday that officers found 23-year-old Leighton Powe Jr. lying in a ditch on Javery Road.
About same time his body was discovered, Powe’s girlfriend reported him missing to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Seuzena said.
Seuzeanu said police have named 20-year-old Felix Adams Jr. as a suspect in the shooting. He said Adams is considered armed and dangerous.
The shooting is the third homicide this year in Slidell.
