BR woman accused of filing false report
Baton Rouge police arrested a 20-year-old woman accused of fabricating a story about a robbery, causing two men to be arrested
Police say Brandi Kilpatrick filed a false police report July 17, accusing two men, who were subsequently arrested, of robbing her apartment, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Detectives later learned she lied about the incident and the men had a key to the apartment and had asked Kilpatrick to leave, the affidavit said.
Kilpatrick had been allowed to stay at the apartment for one night, but stayed for two weeks and refused to leave, the affidavit said.
Detectives also later found text messages from Kilpatrick to one of the victims, acknowledging the robbery did not occur, the affidavit said.
Police booked Kilpatrick, 310 Garden Lane, Baton Rouge, into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday on counts of filing false public records, prison records said.
Ashton Kilcrease and Brent Aucoin are the men who were falsely accused, police Lt. Don Kelly said.

Clark left voice messages for the victim on March 27 and March 28 about how he was going to make it right, but when the victim tried calling him in April, he learned the phone had been disconnected, the warrant said.
