A 51-year-old man was accused of stabbing his wife Sunday during an argument in Holden, a spokeswoman with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Mark Crayton was arrested and booked on a count of aggravated second-degree battery in the stabbing of his 42-year-old wife, spokeswoman Lori Steele said.
Crayton’s wife, whose name was not provided, is being treated in a Baton Rouge hospital and is expected to survive, Steele said.
The stabbing occurred in the 25000 block of Oneallion Road in Holden on Sunday evening.
Steele said the incident is still under investigation and more charges are possible.
