HAMMOND — Two Tangipahoa Parish men were arrested on 67 counts each of burglary and four counts of possession of stolen firearms following a string of thefts at the Robert Mini Storage Lot.
More than 60 units at the storage facility were burglarized Monday, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said Thursday.
After Bradley A. Williams, 22, of Tickfaw, and Anthony F. Rogers, 25, of Hammond, were identified as possible suspects through the recovery of several stolen firearms, warrants were issued for their arrests Tuesday.
Sheriff’s detectives spotted the pair driving on Club Deluxe Road in Hammond on Wednesday afternoon and detained them for questioning.
Detectives linked the two men to a residence in Shadow Creek subdivision in Hammond, where deputies found a large amount of stolen property. Some of the property was identified as having been taken from the Robert storage facility.
Williams and Rogers were booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on the burglary and firearm possession counts. Rogers additionally was booked on four counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are believed to be forthcoming, Panepinto said.
Victims are asked to call sheriff’s Detective Tom Wheeler at (985) 902-2088 no earlier than Monday to schedule a day and time to view and recover their property.
