Advocate staff report June 10, 2013 Comments A single-boat crash Sunday afternoon in the Natalbany River near Killian sent a 6-year-old to the hospital, Adam Einck, a state Wildlife and Fisheries spokesman, said. The child was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge for treatment, Einck said. The cause of the crash, how many people were involved and when exactly it happened Sunday afternoon are still under investigation, Einck said. The Natalbany River intersects the Tickfaw River near the Prop Stop river-side bar, which can only be reached by boat. Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were at the scene to assist in the investigation, said Lori Steele, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman. Although he said the accident technically occurred in Tangipahoa Parish, Einck noted that the river basically straddles the border of the two parishes.
