Two 13-year-olds and a 14-year-old, all students in the Live Oak school district, remained in the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center following their arrests Wednesday on counts of burglary, attempted aggravated arson and felony criminal damage to property, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Lori Steele said in a news release. The Sheriff’s Office was called to the old high school campus off Springfield Road around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in response to evidence of vandalism found at the football field house and in two rooms of the main building on campus, Steele said. The damage estimated at $25,000 or more included spray-painted walls, broken windows and equipment, emptied fire extinguishers and the remains of a fire in the coach’s office, authorities said. The fire had not spread to other rooms of the field house. The incident remains under investigation, and more charges are possible, Steele said Wednesday afternoon.
