Cannon fire will be heard in downtown Thursday morning as the Louisiana House of Representatives remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Residents, employees and visitors to the State Capitol complex should expect to hear numerous loud booms.
The House will honor fallen soldiers, airmen, sailors,
marines and Coast Guard members during a ceremony from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday.
As part of the ceremony, a 21-gun salute will be conducted. The cannon will be in the sunken ground in the gardens in front of the Huey Long statue.
