LSP: Pedestrian in Tangipahoa killed LSP: Pedestrian in Tangipahoa killed Advocate staff report| May 23, 2013 Comments LORANGER — A pickup struck and killed a pedestrian Monday night, State Police reported Tuesday. The incident occurred about 9 p.m. on La. 445, 3 miles south of La. 40 in Tangipahoa Parish. Troopers identified the victim as Charles Favre, 26, of Springfield. Favre was walking northward in the northbound traffic lane of La. 445 in an area that lacks street lighting when a 2010 Toyota pickup approaching from the rear struck Fabre, throwing him into the ditch on the east side of the highway. Favre died from injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner’s Office. The driver of the Toyota pickup, Frank McDaniel, 34, of Loranger, was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. Troopers said McDaniel’s breath alcohol test showed no detectable signs of alcohol in his system.
