Two Pointe Coupee women killed in crash Two Pointe Coupee women killed in crash Westside bureau April 17, 2013 Comments Two Pointe Coupee Parish residents were killed Monday night in West Baton Rouge Parish when their vehicle ran off La. 413 north of U.S. 190 and hit a tree, Louisiana State Police said. The victims were Nikki A. Nolen, 18, of Erwinville, and Abby M. Thompson, 18, of New Roads, according to a State Police news release. The initial investigation revealed that the crash occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. as Nolen was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound on La. 413. For unknown reasons, Nolen’s Trailblazer ran off the road to the right and struck a tree on the driver’s side. Nolen and front seat passenger Thompson were not wearing seatbelts, according to the release. Driver impairment is unknown at this time; however, troopers have submitted a toxicology sample from Nolen to the State Police Crime Lab in Baton Rouge for analysis, the news release says.
