Gonzales man arrested in home invasion, robbery Gonzales man arrested in home invasion, robbery River Parishes bureau April 22, 2013 Comments GONZALES — A Gonzales man was arrested over the weekend accused of invading an Ascension Parish home and pulling a gun in a robbery. Jamie Allen Jr., 19, of 12398 Jim Babin Road, Gonzales, was booked Saturday into the Ascension Parish Jail on counts of home invasion, armed robbery, illegal carrying of weapons, theft and resisting an officer, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said in a news release. The victim ran out of the residence on Elwin Duhe Road and called to report a man entered the residence, pulled out a gun and demanded the victim get on the floor, Bacala said. Allen was located by deputies and apprehended in a wooded area near the victim’s residence, Bacala said. Allen was found to be in possession of items taken from the residence, Bacala said. Allen remained in the parish jail Monday afternoon awaiting bond.
