Deputies nab naked man Deputies nab naked man FAIMON A. ROBERTS| Florida parishes bureau Aug. 02, 2011 Comments WALKER — A man who attempted to escape deputies by fleeing into nearby woods naked was apprehended Monday night, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday. Jason D. Clayton, 35, 21375 Vincent Acres Circle, Denham Springs, was arrested after sprinting across a field and into a wooded area while deputies were investigating a burglary in progress call on Ledoux Lane, south of Walker, according to the release. When deputies arrived, they found a riding lawnmower parked near a suspicious vehicle, the release says. Deputies also found that window screens had been removed from three houses on the street and chairs or stools had been placed beneath each of the windows, the release says. At that point, Clayton, who had no clothes on, ran from a shed in which he had been hiding and sprinted across a field before climbing a tin fence and running into the woods, the release says. Deputies deployed a police dog and Clayton was cornered by the dog, the release says. Clayton told police that he had taken a “party mix” of drugs earlier and was only planning to borrow the lawnmower to cut his grass, the release says. The “party mix” likely contained cocaine, said Perry Rushing, a Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman. Deputies also found his clothes in his vehicle, the release says. After arresting Clayton, deputies took him to a hospital to be treated for dog bites, Rushing said. When he is released from the hospital, Clayton will be charged with single counts of peeping, obscenity, simple burglary, felony theft, simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and resisting an officer, the release says. Clayton was arrested earlier this year for a home invasion that occurred on June 29, the release says.
