A 31-year-old Baton Rouge man was indicted Thursday in the rape of a 9-year-old child last year.
An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Clayton Lundy, 3034 Shelly St., with aggravated rape in the Sept. 30 incident.
The child is now 10, according to the indictment.
An aggravated rape conviction would carry a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
Lundy’s case has been assigned to state District Judge Don Johnson.
