Loyola’s online grad program ranks 6th Loyola’s online grad program ranks 6th Capitol news bureau Jan. 16, 2013 Comments Loyola University New Orleans has the sixth best online graduate level nursing program, according to a U.S. News & World Report ranking of colleges’ online degree programs released Tuesday. Loyola’s program received a score of 72.4 out of 100 possible points in the study. U.S. News said in its release that it surveyed 237 institutions that offered online bachelor’s and graduate level degree programs. The survey’s authors said they weighed such factors as graduation rates, faculty credentials, academic advising of students, digitized libraries, tech support, live tutoring and technology used. More than 6.7 million students took at least one online course during the fall of 2011, up from 6.1 million students the year before, according to the U.S. News & World Report. The survey also ranked Northwestern State University, in Natchitoches, at 57th for the best online program leading to a bachelor’s degree. The University of Louisiana-Monroe placed 61 for online graduate level business programs.
