The field is set for March 2 special elections to fill vacancies in two Louisiana House seats.
As candidate sign-up ended Friday, businessman Barry Ivey, of Baton Rouge, and Metro Councilman Scott Wilson, of Central, will face each other in the House District 65 race. Both are Republicans.
State Rep. Clif Richardson, R-Central, resigned the positions citing health reasons.
In Jefferson Parish, lawyer Paul Hankins Villalobos, of Metairie, qualified Friday to run for the House District 79 race.
Villalobos joined Allison Bent Bowler, finance director of Benjamin Franklin High School; Jack Rizzuto, who ran in 2007 for the seat; and Julie Stokes, an accountant, seeking the seat. Bowler and Rizzuto are from Metairie, and Stokes is from Kenner.
The seat is vacant because of the resignation of state Rep. Tony Ligi, R-Metairie. Ligi took a job with the Jefferson Business Council.
