Woman rescued from burning car in Livingston Parish Woman rescued from burning car in Livingston Parish Florida Parishes bureau Jan. 03, 2013 Comments DENHAM SPRINGS — A woman was rescued Wednesday morning after the car she was driving ran under an 18-wheeler on Magnolia Bridge Road and caught fire, Louisiana State Police said. The woman driving the car is believed to have lost consciousness due to a medical condition, causing the 7 a.m. crash on La. 64 near La. 1019, Trooper First Class Jared Sandifer said. A state trooper and an off-duty St. George firefighter happened to be nearby when the accident occurred and pulled the woman, whom State Police have not named, from her burning car in time to prevent serious injury, Sandifer said. The woman was taken to Ochsner Medical Center with minor injuries and later released, Sandifer said.
