Holiday delays recycling pickup

Because of the New Year’s Day holiday, recyclable material was not collected in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The East Baton Rouge city-parish website says curbside recycling scheduled for Tuesday will be collected on either Wednesday or Thursday.

The city-parish asks residents to leave their cart at the curb during that two-day period until the recyclable material is collected.

In the city of Zachary, garbage and trash collection scheduled for Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday, according to the city’s website.
