OPELOUSAS — The body of an unidentified man was found Monday morning in a damaged vehicle parked on the northbound entrance ramp of Interstate 49 at Harry Guilbeau Road, Opelousas police said.
An injury “similar to a bullet-entry wound” was visible on the man’s body, police Sgt. Jody White said.
“At this time, we’re trying to link evidence together to determine if some type of foul play were involved,” White said.
The rear of the man’s 2009 Hyundai Elantra had “extensive damage,” White said.
The man’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, White said.
