Denham Springs woman shot in BR

Baton Rouge police are investigating a Saturday shooting in which a 21-year-old woman was killed on Cristy Drive, a police spokesman said Sunday.

Clara Seal, 24010 Brian St., Denham Springs, was shot around 6 p.m. as she sat in a vehicle in the parking lot of 1511 Cristy Drive, Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said in a news release.

Seal was trying to buy drugs when the shooting occurred, McKneely said.

Seal was transported to a local hospital where she died of her injuries, McKneely said.

Police are still developing an identity of the shooter, McKneely said.

How did we know she was trying to buy drugs? Did she confess to this before dying? Did a bystander report it? Why are we looking for information if we already know it was a "drug buy"? Sounds like another young person in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hello my friend CBCS, Ms. Seal was raised in a very good home with very good parents. I use to work with her grandmother who was a strong christian woman. I am so sorry for their loss. I really can't believe she was trying to buy drugs.

Seems like the drug dealers are killing their repeat customers, seem like that is bad for business. She should have stayed in Cracker Land to get her drugs.

Once again the race of the shooter is omitted from a crime story here on The Advocate... It has been released by the police that it was a black male, please start reporting basic descriptions on criminals, ESPECIALLY murderers!
