BATON ROUGE POLICE: 9 a.m., Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College, in the Magnolia Library and Performing Arts Pavilion. The 78th Baton Rouge Police Department Basic Training Academy class will hold commencement ceremonies. The class will graduate 33 trainees.

BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St. Greg Albrecht and Jim Richardson. Albrecht is the chief economist with the Louisiana Legislative Fiscal Office, and Richardson, an LSU economics professor, is a member of the Revenue Estimating Conference. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
