French-friendly business events set
LAFAYETTE — The next “cash mob” or “piastres en masse” to support local businesses that support the French language is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Cajun Spice in downtown Lafayette.
The events, held the third Saturday of the month, are organized by FrancoJeunes, a group of young French-speaking professionals as a way to promote French-friendly businesses.
Supporters of the French language — both speakers and non-speakers — are encouraged to patronize the business.
Cajun Spice owner, Melissa Dronet learned the French language from her parents and offers her services in French. Her shop sells Louisiana cultural products.
