Two killed in Friday morning crash Two killed in Friday morning crash Advocate staff report Dec. 11, 2012 Comments Two men died and a third person was hospitalized following a fatal crash Friday morning in which a car flipped in the yard of a home in the 14000 block of Carey Road, according to an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office news release. Deputies responded to a 911 call just after 1 a.m. from an occupant of the vehicle. Paramedics pronounced Christopher McCoy, 27, 4525 Beaver Creek, Greenwell Springs, and Jonathan Love, 26, 14853 Joor Road, Lot No. 36, Central, dead on the scene, according to the release. The vehicle had been westbound on Carey Road when the driver lost control, veered off the road and hit a driveway culvert, flipping over and traveling 100 yards. The third occupant was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, but are awaiting toxicology results. Deputies are still investigating which occupant was driving the vehicle.
