Narcotics task force arrests 3

The Delta Narcotics Task Force arrested three people and seized a large amount of cash while conducting surveillance of a motel in the Harding Boulevard area of Baton Rouge, Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps said Thursday.

Knaps said the arrests stemmed from an investigation of alleged drug dealing by three people living at 5701 Groom Road in Baker.

Task force officers conducting surveillance stopped a car driven by John “Wu” McKneely, 36, about 4:15 a.m. Wednesday on a traffic violation and found 252 doses of hydrocodone, 104 units of roxicodone and $411.

Also arrested were Keirsten Alexander McKneely, 33, and Tiawanga McKneely, 34, all of the Groom Road address, Knaps said.

Inside John McKneely’s motel room, police found $32,176, 267 doses of hydrocodone and 33 doses of Soma, a muscle relaxer, Knaps said. The three were booked at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison with illegal possession with intent to distribute drugs.

John McKneely listed his address as 690 Blount Road, Baton Rouge; while Tiawanga McKneely listed a Sacramento, Calif., address and Keirsten McKneely gave her address at 6748 Pine Island Ave., Baton Rouge, according to booking records.

John and Keirsten McKneely are husband and wife, while John and Tiawanga McKneely are brother and sister, Knaps said.

Are you then admitting you're not normal? Did you not teach your kids to stay away from people offering them pills? Ah, yes, demonize cash, it's evil.

267 + 252 doses of Hydrocodone! I got 10 pills of that when I had a wisdom tooth removed and I was in "la la zone"!. I put those under lock and key at my house. Definately something normal people need to stay away from. 267 pills is definately a dealer. Just what you want your kids to get involved with....NOT! Exactly how do these people get their hands on so many? AND you know they aren't working legally to get $32,000 in cash!! Good job. This takes 3 out of the 3,000 dealers our there off the street for a day.
