Letters: Rejoice for recent election results

It is a true blessing that our President Barack Obama has been re-elected. This was a close election and surely both candidates must be exhausted. As of this time, there needs to be a long period of rest, relaxation and everyone getting back to a normal lifestyle. The hectic schedules can slow down for a while, and all can turn down their “turbos.”

What a happy feeling that most of the candidates were re-elected and, as we prepare for the Dec. 8 elections, surely those candidates in the runoffs will claim victory. I was up very early to go to the polls, and lines only lasted no more than 30 minutes.

In listening to some of the things that were happening throughout this nation, it was a disgrace and very disgusting. However, it did not halt the voters from standing in line until they exercised their right to vote.

How many have fought and suffered to make some dreams become realities? It has been a long haul of struggles, but we made it. On Nov. 7, many should have rejoiced and sung songs of Zion in claiming the victory.

Now, we can look forward for the next four years for a peaceful economy and President Obama can continue to clean up the inadequacies he inherited. He can focus on getting the job done for the betterment of this nation — for the people of the United States of America. It is the people of this country that put him in office as president and most importantly, it is time that he deserves the respect that too many have failed to acknowledge.

Go ahead, President Obama, and your administration, and the Democratic constituents. You have proven yourselves to be worthy and to continue to do what you do well and run this country with utmost grade, dignity and integrity.

@ Granee: You are a perfect example of just what is wrong with the EBR school system. What classes do you teach? Obviously not civics. If the EBR school system is so great, why then are people fleeing them and moving to Livingston and Ascension. The answer is self evident. Why is the school system in Livingston and Ascension perpetually in the top tier in the state? Why is the EBR school system perpetually, at least since the late 60's, near the bottom? And please don't give me that same old lame excuse that it because so many of the students qualify for free lunch. If administrators of the lunch program actually did their jobs and verified the qualifications of all those gaming the system those numbers would probably be cut in half.

Triple, If the Almighty had not intended evolution, why would He give us the capability? Obviously, some cater to their own beliefs in a confused repudiation of that but self-imposed denial of one's gift of life, failure, dumb faith, is not what God intended yet allowed. Economics are not going to provide an answer. This is devastatingly certain. Money is not love. Dream dreams.

I don't want to pay for those who don't want to work either. Who does? But I'm not willing to forsake the poor in order to spite the lazy. I think it would be immoral to do so. Besides, Romney said he wasn't even going to touch the safety net. He specifically said that he would not change the qualifications of those seeking SNAP. What are we even talking about? We've descended into hypotheticals and theoreticals that have nothing to do with our chosen candidate's scope of power or stated intentions. For the record, I pay federal income taxes and have for a very long time, yet I voted for Obama. Let's stop pretending that Obama got EVERY one of the 47% votes plus 4%. This is a stupid, silly assumption that has no basis in reality.

Another set of myths concerning "welfare queens" are discussed here (and he cites his sources unlike some posters here) -- http://www.junkland.net/2012/01/8-myths-about-welfare-queens-debunked.html

Bwaites, et al: Assuming that the majority of Americans on welfare are able to work but gaming the system is a fallacy and intellectually lazy. For a more accurate picture -- http://www.dol.gov/dol/maps/map-ipia.htm /// I support reforms that reduce fraud but to scrap a program for people who actually need it just to stop the 2-8% that game the system is morally reprehensible.

6) Comment by Bwaites985 - 26/11/2012

Oh its not free government money. There are millions of people who work hard to provide for their families while others sit back and let the taxes I pay feed them. It is by no means free DMJ, but myself and many others like me are tired of footing the bill for others who could work, but choose not to.

7) Comment by DMJ - 26/11/2012

Yes, anyone that differs with you politically is someone who wants free government money. Grow up, children. What was it that Bobby J said the GOP needed to do? oh yeah....stop being the party of stupid. Well.....the rest of us are waiting....

8) Comment by Being_Stupid - 26/11/2012

The Takers outnumber the Makers. Everything Ayn Rand predicted is coming true. Like every Socialist Country, soon the Makers will quit working and go on strike because the incentive to work will no longer exist. People will be better off being dependent on government, instead of working. It is becoming to difficult to simply work for a living. I feel like I am living in a George Orwell book, except this is no fiction. This is reality.

@Scrooge, you must be evolving, a sporting event referenced as entertainment! Your word play continues to entertain, brings to mind, many moons ago, when you toyed with that farmer/ prepper, who posted some obscure, incoherent nonsense, and you responded with the obvious, that he must be "outstanding in his field", and I think he was actually flattered.   Certainly your critiques of participants cross party lines, the Feline poster fits descriptions intended for others, specifically "bigoted reactionary".  BTW, the addition of NewBarbarian as a substantive poster is a welcome addition to the posting community.

13) Comment by Grannee - 25/11/2012

Attila if you feel that way about EBR parish, stay and keep your responses in the free state of livingston parish. If EBR is so bad, don't come here to work or shop because you never know what can happen to you here with all the murderers and illiterates who live here....The point is President Obama outwitted Romney and his cronies who tried to buy the white house. MANDATE!

14) Comment by Scrooge - 25/11/2012

So inbred cognitive laggardness might be a result of one's forebears lying with their closer relations or speaking of hate might that be closeted relations ? Lying as in the Biblical sense? I am asking for forgiveness in advance, that makes it ok, right? This is fun but Saints are coming on with more substantitive entertainment

15) Comment by Whatnow - 25/11/2012

It would be so kind of TS to answer my question as to who I hate. He does a lot of assuming. I am not a Catholic that goes to a confessional. Assertions? That's just assuming. What did I lie about? Changing one's mind or evolving in thought is lying? Obama does that all the time or is it lying?

16) Comment by Scrooge - 25/11/2012

Right isn't evolution a liberal atheist "theory"? Just as the indisputable fact that Christianity and objectivism are completely opposed and incompatible, reason seems to not be a factor.

17) Comment by Tea_Slayer - 25/11/2012

It was so kind of Whatnow confirm my assessment and to provide additional evidence of my assertions. I guess he need to go to confessional today since he continues to lie and call it "evolving"

Hmmm sure looks like a connection between critical thinking, depth of thought, cognition and ability to express oneself. Might be foolish to waste time trying to unravel the confused thinking of a bigoted reactionary with a high school diploma more evidence of the inverse relation and as stated there are many in Louisiana

20) Comment by Whatnow - 25/11/2012

See, Bouncer, Tea_Slayer just proved my point about intelligent argument with name calling. Oh, and Tea_Slayer.... I changed my mind. I'm evolving like Obama does. Am I allowed to do that if he can? Getting my second wind. And hate? Just who do I hate, TS?

21) Comment by Tea_Slayer - 25/11/2012

Bouncer: it's best not to enage Whatnow. He is a liar and a hypocrite. He is on one thread saying he is just going to sit back and watch the Democrats and the Presidnet implode, " I'm doing just that, sitting back and watching the Democrats and the Obama administration fix it all for their vision of utopia or watch them bury themselves in corruption. Too bad the other half of the country has to go along for the ride." While on this thread stating he has "more political fighting to do". He claims to be a good christian yet has more hate in his heart than 1000 atheists. He's not worth wasting your time on.

22) Comment by Whatnow - 25/11/2012

I'm the idiot??? And who is calling names??? What an intelligent argument when you have to revert to name calling! Did you get that kind of debating skills at your school? And you did address "those of you on the "losing" side." You didn't make a sandwich at all. I just proved to you that you got your definition of yourself wrong. You are not "apolitical". And until we go the way of the dinosaur, you are outnumbered in Louisiana. A valium? Nah. I have more political fighting to do since most Obama voters don't care about issues that aren't between their legs.

23) Comment by Scrooge - 25/11/2012

At least agagent attempts to make reasonable arguments. If one's defense for a position consists of badly conceived insults directed at those who would question, that probably does validate Attila's claim that La Ed systems are substandard, after all, he is living proof. Personally, I am not convinced and historical evidence tends to refute the claims that an econocentric world view is mankind's salvation. Seriously, a defense of ones beliefs consisting of less than mediocre insults spewed at detractors or even those who question might strain the credibility of those beliefs. Why is that so difficult to understand? But of course, if you disagree with me, you grandmother's dried hanging appendages are as useless as the desert of your creative thought where even lizards decline to void their bowels and vultures circle in a futile search for intelligent life. BTW, Wouldn't self proclaimed 8.6 % Christians rejoice in the decline of civilization since that would bring them nearer and dearer to the one true Maker (a la Nietzsche)?

24) Comment by Bouncer - 25/11/2012

@Attila....I don't recall addressing you, either. You presume to know far more about me than you in fact know. You have no idea how I voted in the election. You're simply leaping to conclusions based upon the fact that I do not see eye to eye with you on certain issues. I can tell you this, though----the Republican party lost, and will continue to lose, because it pandered to your sort. As I mentioned in another post, your type is, mercifully, going the way of the dinosaur, and the United States will be all the better off when those of your ilk are extinct.

25) Comment by Bouncer - 25/11/2012

@whatnow...congratulations! Your Louisiana education gave you enough skills to look up a word in a dictionary. Bravo. Well done. I address your posts because you, like some others here, take it upon yourself to @ me when I did not address you specifically in the first place. In other words, you gave me the baloney, and I made the sandwich. Why do I post here? For the same reason you do---to get my absolutely worthless two cents in. You are an idiot, and you exemplify the very worst of the narrow-minded, backward Louisiana mindset, which, thankfully, is going the way of the dinosaur. Seriously, you need to take a valium or two before you pop a blood vessel, cupcakes.

26) Comment by Whatnow - 25/11/2012

Bouncer and other Progressives, Read if you want to, Definition of APOLITICAL: merriam-webster.com : having no interest or involvement in political affairs; also : having an aversion to politics or political affairs. Maybe you need to redefine how you feel about politics. Yes, I'm resentful and will stay that way until corruption is accounted for by all or any of our politicians. And if nobody cares, why do you keep coming back to my posts? Since you are "apolitical" , why do you care to post here at all? I am very political and won't roll over and take it because you say so. You have nothing of value to say except to just bicker. I do have a wonderful life, maybe at a different moral compass than yours, and I care about the disaster this country will become and some don't. All they care about is if their guy wins no matter the cost or corruption.

27) Comment by nimby? - 25/11/2012

christians say he is , atheists say he isn't . sounds a bit confusing , but hey , what's new ....

28) Comment by Attila - 25/11/2012

@Granee and Bouncer: I have to agree that is nothing much to see in EBR. Traffic congestion, a world class murder rate, and one of the worst school systems in the country. Yup...not much to see. You two need to remember that BHO did not win in a popular vote landslide. As elections go this one was extremely close. BHO received a majority of .6% of the vote. Romney received over 59 million votes. If gridlock is to broken in DC it would behoove the Dems not to lose sight of that fact.

29) Comment by MBW - 25/11/2012

@8point6--- You need to understand that the definition of "Christian" is not, and should not be, limited to a set of narrow issue positions in US politics. The Republican Party has brainwashed you into thinking that they are the "Christian" party.

30) Comment by Duckyluve - 25/11/2012

Wait till January and you get your first paycheck, if you have a job. Im sure it will still be bush's fault. Idiots

31) Comment by Bouncer - 25/11/2012

@whatnow....judging from the content of your posts, I would say that you're far beyond sour and whiney. You're downright resentful. Accept defeat with some grace and dignity instead of constantly yammering about your "values" and so on. Nobody cares. And incidentally, do you even know what the word "apolitical" means? No? I thought not. Get a life.

32) Comment by Grannee - 25/11/2012

Obama won EBR, so all you sour losers are preaching to the choir in this parish. Move along - there's nothing to see here. Nice letter Mada.

33) Comment by agagent - 25/11/2012

The lowering of mortgage lending standards was first supported by Democrats and continued by the Bush administration. The easy money helped home values climb just like the easy federal money is helping the cost of a college education to increase much faster than inflation. Obama was in favor of more risky mortgages that helped create the last debt bubble just as he favors free flowing student loans to help create the next debt bubble.

34) Comment by agagent - 25/11/2012

The next debt bubble Obama helped create: about $1 trillion in college loans, with a climbing default rate. Sounds familiar? We have not climbed out of the last debt bubble Obama helped to created: the trillions of dollars in bad mortgage loans to people who could not repay them. Big time Democrats created Fannie and Freddie to back trillions of dollars in risky mortgages. Obama sued Citibank and cried racism to force more loans to people who could not afford them. Taxpayers have lost at least $250 billion on Fannie and Freddie and the country is still working through millions of bad mortgages. Now Obama put the taxpayers in charge of the trillion dollar student loan debt. He has not learned from his past mistakes. Of course his solution is to blame Bush, again.

35) Comment by Scrooge - 24/11/2012

As a corollary demonstration of the length of one's tenure in elected office precluding the necessity of blaming one's predecessors, the measures of quality of life in Louisiana have actually moved very little in the past 6 years, just as attempts to demonstrate one's superiority are, if not invalidated, then certainly cheapened by the parroting of the ideas of a purported weaker mind. As far as who is Christian or more or not, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". There has been a general decline since the 90's, a dumb tribal allegiance is pointless and is, quite obviously, counter-productive.

36) Comment by Attila - 24/11/2012

@Scrooge: Your pitiful attempt to discredit my point of view merely bolsters mine.Your Weltanshauug carries no more weight than mine. As for a weak mind I will defer to you....as you certainly have more experience in that category than I.

37) Comment by Attila - 24/11/2012

39) Comment by Whatnow - 24/11/2012

Bouncer, it's not whiny to disagree. We don't have to get over it. We will just fight harder. It's never over and we don't have to take it as long as there is corruption. And since you are apolitical, you wouldn't understand, now would you?

40) Comment by Bouncer - 24/11/2012

Geez....the last time I saw this many sour grapes was when the zinfandel crop failed in Napa Valley. The election is over. Get over it, those of you on the "losing" side, and let the other side bask in their victory if they must. I'm fairly apolitical in most regards, to the right on some issues and to the left on others, but I have to say that you "conservatives" certainly are every bit as "whiney" as you all accuse the most hardened "liberal" of being.

41) Comment by 8point6 - 24/11/2012

Ok, hussein is a "Christian". He supports gay marriage and is pro abortion. No, he's not a "Christian". And, 97 percent of blacks voted for him.....because he "says" he's a "Christian". Or, did they vote for him because he's black. Or, did they vote for him because they like obamacare. Or, did they vote for him because he has taken on the Catholic church about contraception, etc, etc.

42) Comment by Whatnow - 24/11/2012

Maelstrom, you would think with the Amens and the Hallelujahs from his followers they believe that he could. They did in the first election and the second. I'm still waiting to see it. Heck, I'd just be happy for one day without a cover up.

43) Comment by Scrooge - 24/11/2012

Attilla claims that those who do not think like or agree with him are "ignorant, gullible, and anserine" but that does nothing to convince that his blind certainty is any better an option. A bankruptcy of ideas in favor of third hand insults (as seen on TV!) is evidence of a weak mind, certainly not the type of Weltanschauung and moral certitude one could rely on for leadership. I am sorry that is so difficult to understand, it really should not be.

44) Comment by Maelstrom - 24/11/2012

Glad you're happy Ms. McDonald

45) Comment by Maelstrom - 24/11/2012

Replace the hypocrite Vitter. Yes. Moderate Democrat or moderate Republican, I don't care. But the pure hypocrisy of self-labeled Christians that voted for him?

46) Comment by Maelstrom - 24/11/2012

"many liberal atheist who voted for him would beg to differ ..." TALK to them. Most know that President Obama has stated that Jesus Christ is his lord and savior. If you check statistics, less than 6% of this country identify themselves as atheists. Atheists and the right tend to massively overestimate there numbers in the United States. There are a lot of Christians who voted for President Barak Obama. Whatnow, if you believe that to be "a man after God's own heart" must raise the dead and walk on water, then you won't find anybody that voted in this country that meets that criteria.

47) Comment by Whatnow - 24/11/2012

twinkie1cat, I just deleted a long rant back to you, because you are not worth high blood pressure and the waste of time anymore. Your comments and thoughts are that ridiculous. The most ridiculous was " Obama is a man after God's own heart. Thank you Jesus." I almost spit on the monitor with laughter. Chucky, right on! I'm still waiting for him to raise the dead and walk on water.

49) Comment by twinkie1cat - 24/11/2012

Now is the time for Louisiana to straighten up and quit being a single issue state. The first thing that needs to be done is to replace David Vitter with a moderate Democrat in the Senate. He is an embarrassment. Then we need to clean up our congressional delegation. Finally, the STATE legislature needs to do a flip-flop so that Bobby Jindal can no longer dictate to it. All the Jindalclones need to go, his power needs a drastic reduction and the outsourcing and firing of state government workers ended and repaired. Department and committee chairs and heads of agencies need to be out of his reach if they disagree with him. We need revenue enhancement by closing some of the tax loopholes so that schools, prisons, and hospitals are properly funded. If this doesn't happen soon we will be so far over the top of the bad lists that we won't even count anymore and so far under the good lists that even Mississippi and Alabama will shine by comparison.

50) Comment by twinkie1cat - 24/11/2012

A lot of us did sing songs of Zion. Except for our unenlightened Republicans who looked as downcast as the talking heads on Fox, we all had big grins on our faces at church following the elections. Two who didn't, well one is very active in the state GOP and the other, his father was very active in the KKK. Before the election I was wondering where I could move to in order to wait out the Romney administration. That is if he didn't bring on the Second Coming with his and Ryan's greed and hypocrisy. Obama is a man after God's own heart. Thank you Jesus.

Obama is black? Really??? I thought he was both. Gee, after winning two elections with the help of white voters, you would think the "Progressives" would get tired of that old, dirty, irrelevant, worn out race card. Does that mean that people who voted for him the first time and not the second, are racists now? Does that mean that every Republican and Independent is racist? Do you race baiters ever get tired of hearing yourself being racist yourselves? Racism is on both sides of the isle and it's been proven so stick a sock in it.

Feudalism did exist in those days but only a fool grasping for cool sounding buzzwords they dont understand would say it exists here. Feudslism was an arrangement of land owning and working patronage in exchange for military service. it was a real estate pyramid scheme that allowed noble land ownership and serf farming all in service of the crown. It died out in the west 500 years ago and in our society anyone can own property without pledging military service to a baron of monarch. Do you know a homeowner who has to do that in return for the right to farm? Me neither. Thats why its a stupid thing to say. im done once again. havent been here in quite a while and thats enough for now. cant let that kind of ignorance go uncontested however

58) Comment by Whatnow - 24/11/2012

Until the abundant corruption, secrecy and power hunger stops in Washington, nothing will change. We have allowed too many politicians to be above the law. When a politician can do something for a voter's purse or lifestyle, he is allowed to make his own rules and be as corrupt as he wants. We have the best politicians that money can buy. I read a very good book this past month and learned quite a bit about both parties, "The Corruption Chronicles" by Tom Fitton. It hits on the corruption of all administrations and Presidents in my life time and where the real money for campaigning comes from. I am looking forward to seeing the "District of Corruption" movie and the permanent political class and crony capitalism on both sides of the aisle the film exposes and indicts. I still have a lot of research to do concerning the book. It's not just about Obama and his secrets, but the corruption that has permeated Washington for decades and has shaped our nation. Ms. McDonald would do well to read something other than campaign posters and talking points by the Democrats. She has exhilarating loyalty to something she only thinks she knows and repeats the talking points. She may want to find out some facts about her "Pied Piper" along with the rest of Washington. After all, it is about her future, as well as every citizen in this country. It's not about what Obama promised at all. That was to get votes, Ms. McDonald, like any politician. Watch the money and the actions.

Why bring it up well as anyone with a basic knowledge of 14 cent england knows the king was far from absolutely powerful. Parliament as a representation of the nobility was well established and had adopted a bicameral nature that it still had today. That body had power over taxes not the king although he controlled customs income. Also the justice of the peace was established under edward iii to impose a uniform legal code nationwide. This was an extension of the earlier shire reeves (or sherrif) that started under the earlier Plantagenets. Absolutist monarchs came of fashion much later fist with louis 14 and his russian contemporaries. the english stewart monarchs tried this out bug parliament resisted and ended up executing charles 1. So much for absolute control. Also no efforts were made to keep peasants happy at all. edward imposed wage and travel restrictions post plague to prevent wage inflation although this act foundered as unenforceable. Yep thats your absolute power. later in the 14 cent a large peasant rebellion under wat tyler was brutally repressed by richard 2 the boy king but not before allowances were made to subdue the mob. no bread or games in those days. Like it or not obama (still black) was elected fairly. Kings were not but gained power through inheritance via primogeniture or usurpation. so monarchy is not the right word. unless you are a fool with a laughably poor knowledge of 14 century English monarchs.

As every right wing paw paw knows in this state and good to see the routine cranks out this morning, just cause you were a teacher doesnt mean you were a good teacher and in fact right wing orthodoxy says you were probably part of the problem protected by years of undeserved tenure. Would todays reactionary teachers strip themselves of tenure in recognition of their culpability?

61) Comment by NearBarbarian - 24/11/2012

Ms. McDonald: If nothing else, you succeeded in goading the usual suspects out from under their bridge of dystopic right-wingery (see majority of comments below). I do not, though, think it's fair to put all the responsibility for cleaning up, reforming, or even revolutionizing the Republic on the backs of Mr. Obama and the Democrats. Obama's been holding back the flood of destruction that was released nearly thirty years ago (yeah, that's right, bridge dwellers); to do so, he's been a stalwart moderate, if not old-fashioned conservative. The Democratic Party has moved so far to the right that the only thing keeping them from being Republicans is a lack of coherence. (Democrats and mainstream "liberals" do not typically "fall in line," which is both a blessing and a curse.) The Republicans and their right-wing fellow travelers must be held accountable, too, and be responsible for the frat party they've been having at everyone else's expense. On the other hand, people on the left, such as you and I, will have to exert great pressure on the president and the Democrats. We must be honest and admit that they are part and parcel of an anti-democratic plutocratic oligarchy (NOT monarchy, nimby?, for history's sake!). It's our job, as the "demos" (people), to direct ("kratia") our representatives. Only as we do that should we rejoice.

62) Comment by phil - 24/11/2012

Rejoice for gay marriage, free sex with free birth control, illegal immigration, and socialism?. Thanks, but I think I will pass.

63) Comment by nimby? - 24/11/2012

if I may correct my conservative brethren , this is not socialism . in a pure socialist state ALL citizen are required to perform some function for the good of the collective , that's not happening . what we have closer resembles 14th century England , a monarchy . there is absolute rule , anyone questioning this is considered an enemy of the crown and taxed into submission . class warfare is created , semblance of a feudal system , keeping the masses divided so none can oppose . the peasants are kept with words , promises ignored . an allusion of happy , loyal subjects . god save the king ....

Let the rejoicing begin. Big government is big government, no matter how you spell it (with a “D” or an “R”), “We the people” are just little fish in a big sea of corrupt politicians, warmongers, international bankers, and opportunist all willing and able to turn us effectively against each other. The majority of Democrats vote that way because they hate the Republicans, although I doubt many could tell you exactly what the Republican Party’s platform really is. The same thing goes for the Republicans. They hate the Democrats and vote Republican for the same reason. Until the two party systems are abolished, this country will remain in a state of unrest. We will continue to attack each other, while those in control will continue to reap the rewards of their positions, at our expense. The poor will remain poor and the rich will maintain their hold on government, regardless of party affiliation. In this era of entitlement and self gratification, the only ones benefiting are the Washington elite and the lobbyist who have bought their way into the White House. So as a modern day Marie Antoinette might say "Let them eat cake."

One thing is certain now that the ignorant, gullible, and anserine have put this socialist back into office. That is that for the next 4 years when he alludes to "the mess I inherited" he will be talking about the mess he inherited from himself.

I've heard a lot of blarney filled nonsense in my life but this is one of the most egregious; there is nothing for working people to hope for now with this bunch retaining power.

Rejoice, rejoice? Wow, your expectations are just too low if this makes you happy: Black unemployment is above 14% and going higher. Average household income declined by more than $4,000. A record number on food stamps and going higher. Over $16 trillion in debt and no signs of balancing the budget. States going bankrupt. Public pension funds going bankrupt. Labor participation rate down. College graduates can’t find a job. College loan debt at almost $1 trillion. Businesses cutting jobs and cutting employees’ hours to pay for Obamacare. Capital gains and death taxes going up. Social security won’t be there if not reformed. Shortage of doctors getting worst. Gas prices higher. Dollar is devalued. You are forced to buy the expensive government-prescribed health insurance. You may lose your Medicare Advantage or employee-provided health insurance, etc.

Yes, spqr, we will continue to pay for the wars, food stamp program, unemployment program, etc. Which ones did Obama start? We could have elected a Republican and have him start another war in the Middle East. I'm looking for the lyrics of a song of Zion.

Good letter, Mada. Now we can all look forward to even more debt under Obama, smaller paychecks in January, and higher health care costs for those of us that actually work. Yes. Peace indeed.
