BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St. David Guillory, director of the East Baton Rouge city-parish Department of Public Works will discuss the 2012 hurricane season, the challenges and lessons learned and the new programs and processes in place for 2013. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.

ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT CELEBRATION: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Claude L. Shaver Theatre in LSU’s Music & Dramatic Arts Building to honor the holiday traditions of Christmas, Kwanzaa and Hanukkah.
