Authorities are searching the Mississippi River for a person who might have jumped off the Audubon Bridge on Sunday night, said Capt. Steve Juge with the Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office.
Juge said a 2002 Chevrolet pickup was discovered in the westbound lane of the bridge at 5:41 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities with the Pointe Coupee, West Feliciana and East Baton Rouge parish sheriff’s offices are assisting in the search, Juge said.
No other details are being released at this time.
