Natalbany man booked in rape of 3-year-old girl

NATALBANY — A 74-year-old Natalbany man was booked on a count of aggravated rape of a juvenile after witnesses said they saw him forcing himself upon a 3-year-old girl, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Morrison Lee Furlow was arrested Friday evening, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said in a news release.

Furlow subsequently confessed during the course of the investigation, Panepinto said.

ABayouBoy; the idea of swift justice is almost a laughable oxymoron. our "justice" system is totally broken and can not be repaired, it needs to be replaced. pick a case, any case, and watch it snail crawl through our "justice" system. before this particular case is finished (lawyers stop making money off it) the criminal will be dead of old age.

Only an idiot would believe that putting him to death would "help" the victim. That's not the point. Snuffing him out would insure that he would not live to see the light of another day and do any sort of harm to anyone else, ever again. Period. That's the point. And it would be justice in this case.

the truly unfortunate thing about this is, he will die a natural death before anything of a real punishment will affect him. the little girl will heal and hopefully not remember anything about it, (except he will still be either going to trial or appealing a verdict till she's in her teens, then he'll probably die and that'll bring it all up again--great "justice" system).
