Soprano to perform at Nicholls State

THIBODAUX — Soprano Carol Lines will perform Oct. 28 in a guest recital at Nicholls State University.

The free performance is set for 3 p.m. at the university’s Mary M. Danos Theater in Talbot Hall. Lines, accompanied by pianist Megan Reilly, will perform songs from Hugo Wolf’s “Italienisches Liederbuch,” Samuel Barber’s “Hermit Songs” and Francis Poulenc’s “Fiançailles pour rire” as well as a set of humorous English songs by various composers.

Lines is an assistant professor of voice at McNeese State University.
