  • BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St. The Baton Rouge Press Club will host a debate for U.S. Representative 3rd Congressional District candidates Jeff Landry, R-New Iberia; Bryan Barrilleaux, R-Lake Charles; and Jim Stark, Libertarian-Lake Charles. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
  • DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS FORUM: 5:45 p.m., prayer vigil; 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., forum, BREC Independence Park, 7500 Independence Blvd., Meeting Room 111. Women Working with Women will host a domestic violence awareness forum called “Love Shouldn’t HURT” to honor National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The forum will have guest speakers Major Reginald R. Brown Sr., city constable; Judge Charlene Charlet Day, Family Court; and Judge Pamela Taylor Johnson, Juvenile Court.
  • CAC MEETING: 6 p.m., Delmont Gardens Library, 3351 Lorraine St. District 5 Councilwoman Ronnie Edwards will host her last Citizens Advisory Council meeting. During the meeting, representatives from Inspire Charter Academy, Copper Oaks, Louisiana Department of Insurance and FEMA will address constituents’ concerns.
