Toy donations sought for needy children

The U.S. Marine Corps will collect toys for needy children in Assumption Parish on Friday and Saturday.
Officials are asking for new, unwrapped toys or monetary donations to be dropped off at the Assumption High School office on Friday or at Friday night’s football game at the entrance of the Assumption High School football stadium. On Saturday, donations will be accepted at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, the site of Halloween Bike Fest 12.
Anyone donating a new, unwrapped toy that is not a stocking stuffer, and anyone making a monetary donation to Toys for Tots, will receive $5 off the price of admission to the bike fest.
