The 6th, 1st Congressional District races

The Advocate takes a look at two congressional races in the area, the 6th Congressional District held by Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge, and the 1st Congressional District held by Steve Scalise, R-Jefferson.

Challenging Cassidy in the 6th District race are Rufus Craig Jr., the Libertarian candidate from Baton Rouge, and Richard “RPT” Torregano, No Party candidate who also lives in Baton Rouge.

Challenging Scalise in the 1st District race are M.V. “Vinny” Mendoza, D-Ponchatoula, Arden Wells, No Party-Ponchatoula, Gary King, R-New Orleans, and David “Turk” Turknett, No Party-Galliano.
