3 remain hospitalized after bus flips in N.J.

WAYNE, N.J. — Three people remain hospitalized after the Canadian tour bus they were riding overturned on a New Jersey interstate exit ramp this weekend, injuring nearly two dozen.

A spokeswoman at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center said the three were in fair condition Sunday but declined to provide further details.

Authorities were still trying to determine what caused the crash that occurred about 7:30 a.m. Saturday on eastbound Interstate 80 in Wayne. The driver, who suffered an arm gash, told state police that another driver cut him off.

State police said 23 people were hurt in the accident, including the driver and two young children. There were 57 passengers aboard the bus, which left Toronto and was bound for New York City.
