Winless Saints lose a heartbreaker in Green Bay, 28-27

Saints quarterback Drew Brees passed for 446 yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn't enough as Green Bay rallied for a 28-27 victory in Lambeau Field.

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodger passed for 391 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. The threw a game-winning 11-yard touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson with 3:25 remaining.

Trailing 28-27, the Saints had a chance to take the lead with less than three minutes remaining in the game. Placekicker Garrett Hartley hit a 43 yard field goal, but it was called back because of a 10-yard holding by David Thomas. Green Bay was penalized for encroachment, which gave the Saints five yards back. Hartley then missed wide left on a 48-yard field goal with 2:48 left.
