Authorities book 8 on suspicion of DWI

Authorities arrested at least eight people suspected of driving while intoxicated — including a man for third-offense DWI — in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

  • Christopher Ballard, 37, 8310 Pettit Road, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI.
  • Elaine Burnett, 21, 175 Burgin Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, possession of alcoholic beverage in vehicle, headlights required.
  • William Flores, 29, 303 River Road, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle and improper lane usage.
  • Crystal Guidry, 34, 14421 Mora Drive, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, failure to maintain control, careless driving and other laws of the road.
  • Matthew Halbert, 27, 1002 S. Kenilworth Parkway, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI and failure to maintain control.
  • Shane Redd, 38, 7277 Mosspoint Lane, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI and license plate light required.
  • Deroy Waldon, 262 Gatebriar St., Baton Rouge, third-offense DWI, failure to maintain control, reckless operation of a vehicle and driver’s license suspended or revoked.
  • Mark Walter, 57, 3307 Carol Drive, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, aggravated battery and disregarding police barricades.
