- BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St. Bernard Taylor, superintendent of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, will discuss the district’s academic performance, budget cuts made to ensure financial stability and the system’s partnership with the Family and Youth Service Center. Lunch, which will be served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
- SEWER AND ROADWORK FORUM: 6 p.m., Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library, 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd. City-parish officials will wrap up a series of meetings on the federally mandated Sanitary Sewer Overflow project and the Green Light Plan for road improvements. Officials, including Mayor Kip Holden, will give progress reports and listen to residents’ feedback on the two projects.
