3 Avoyelles men cited for hunting violations
MARKSVILLE — Wildlife officials said three Avoyelles Parish hunters have been cited for violating hunting rules.
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents cited Kristopher A. Dugas, 21, of Marksville, and Eric M. Dauzat, 25, of Hessmer, for allegedly killing a six-point buck during a closed season at night with an artificial light.
They also were cited for hunting from a public road and a moving vehicle and hunting without basic and big game licenses.
Dugas also was cited for taking deer with an illegal firearm.
Agents also cited Terry A Ducote Jr., 42, of Hessmer, for possession of the illegally taken deer and illegal possession of an alligator.
The men were cited on Sept. 14.
They face fines and jail time.
