BR man indicted in Oriole Street slaying

An 18-year-old Baton Rouge man was indicted Wednesday in the May shooting death of another man on Oriole Street.

An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Erin Gross, 1420 Cardinal St., with second-degree murder in the killing of Christopher King, 25.

King was shot multiple times May 2 while driving his car in the 1300 block of Oriole, causing him to crash into a house. He died May 4, police said.

An affidavit of probable cause says Gross and King had been in an argument.

A second-degree murder conviction would carry an automatic sentence of life in prison for Gross.

His case has been assigned to state District Judge Tony Marabella.
