YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge gets new leader

The YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge has a new leader.

Jennifer Shoub, who was hired last month by the group’s board as the chief executive officer, starts work Oct. 27, interim CEO Judi Bishop said.

Shoub has worked as the CEO of the YWCA of Kalamazoo, Mich., for the past 21 years, Bishop said.

“Jeni is a real leader with a tremendous background. We are thrilled to get her,” Bishop said Wednesday.

Shoub is replacing former CEO Paulette Senior, who left earlier this year.

Before leading the YWCA in Kalamazoo, Shoub worked as executive director for the Northwest Ohio Crisis Line from 1985 to 1991, according to her ré sumé.
