- FORUM ON ROAD AND SEWER WORKS: 6 p.m., St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, 1441 Goodwood Blvd. City-parish officials will continue their series of meetings on the federally mandated Sanitary Sewer Overflow project and the Green Light Plan for road improvements. - DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES — CHILDREN WHO SEE TOO MUCH: 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Crowne Plaza Hotel, 4728 Constitution Ave. Betsy McAlister Groves, a licensed clinical social worker and founding director of the Child Witness to Violence Project at Boston Medical Center, will talk about the impact of community and family violence on young children. The presentation is part of the Distinguished Speaker Series, a series by the Academic Distinction Fund on childhood development research. Groves is the author of “Children Who See Too Much: Lessons from the Child Witness to Violence Project.” The lecture is free, but pre-registration is recommended.
