State government offices

  • State government offices in East Baton Rouge Parish reopen Friday, but others in 13 parishes remain closed.

LSU Clinics and services

  • Baton Rouge — Earl K. Long Medical Center resumes normal operations on Friday.
  • Bogalusa — LSU Bogalusa Medical Center resumes normal operations at 7 a.m. Friday.
  • Lafayette — University Medical Center resumes normal operations on Friday.
  • Houma — Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center resumes normal operations at 7 a.m. Friday.
  • Independence — Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center has cancelled all outpatient clinics, elective surgeries, chemotherapy infusion until Tuesday. The hospital will remain on operating room diversion until further notice due to a power failure.

Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System

  • VA outpatient clinics reopen Friday in Baton Rouge, Houma, New Orleans and Slidell.
  • VA outpatient clinics remain closed until Tuesday in Bogalusa, Franklin, Hammond and St. John the Baptist Parish, as well as the dental clinics in Mandeville and Metairie, and the mental health clinic in New Orleans.

Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group, Lake After Hours

  • LAKE AFTER HOURS — THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ARE OPERATING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS: Lake After Hours Perkins, Lake After Hours Kids, Lake After Hours Central, Lake After Hours Lee/Highland, Lake After Hours Zachary, Lake After Hours Brusly, Lake After Hours Coursey, Lake After Hours O’Neal, Lake After Hours Denham Springs and Lake Quick Care in downtown Baton Rouge.
  • The Drusilla and Hammond clinics are still without power, and have not determined an opening time.
  • Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group — Several of the Physician Group Clinics are open. Contact LakeLine Direct at (225) 765-LAKE (5253) or toll free (877) 765-LAKE from outside of Baton Rouge.
  • All Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group offices are open at normal operating hours on Friday.

East Baton Rouge Parish

  • City-parish offices in Baton Rouge reopen Friday.
  • CATS bus service is back in operation.
  • Metro Airport is open, but airlines determine whether individual flights will operate. American, Delta, United and US Airways were scheduled to operate Friday.
  • East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court Office reopens Friday.
  • BREC WILL CLOSE THESE FACILITIES ON FRIDAY:
  • Baker recreation center will be closed due to storm clean-up. All other recreation centers will be open regularly scheduled hours if electricity is restored.
  • The Baton Rouge Gallery will be closed due to its regularly scheduled installation of a new exhibit.
  • The Baton Rouge Zoo, Bluebonnet Swamp and Independence Park Theatre will be closed due to storm clean-up.
  • Beaver Creek golf course will be open at noon. All other BREC golf courses will be closed due to storm clean-up.
  • Highland Road tennis center will be open. All other BREC tennis centers will be closed due to storm clean-up.

  • UNITED BLOOD SERVICES BATON ROUGE DONOR CENTER, ESSEN AT INTERSTATE 10, REOPENS FROM 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. There is an urgent need for all blood types and platelet donations to ensure an adequate blood supply is available for the Labor Day weekend.

East Feliciana, St. Helena parishes

  • The Audubon Regional Library’s branches in Clinton, Jackson and Greensburg are closed Friday.

Iberville Parish

  • Parish government offices reopen Friday.
  • Garbage collection resumes Friday. Residents who normally have their garbage collected Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will have garbage picked up on Friday or Saturday.
  • 18th Judicial District Court is closed on Friday.

Lafayette Parish

  • Normal garbage collection routes will resume Monday, but will run later than usual. Residents are asked to remove vehicles from the street to help make pick-up easier.
  • UNITED BLOOD SERVICES LAFAYETTE DONOR CENTER, 1503 BERTRAND DRIVE, REOPENS FROM 8 A.M. TO 6:30 p.m. Friday. There is an urgent need for all blood types and platelet donations to ensure an adequate blood supply is available for the Labor Day weekend.

Livingston Parish

  • All parish government offices will remain closed Friday and reopen after the Labor Day holiday on Tuesday.
  • RESIDENTS SHOULD PLACE STORM-RELATED DEBRIS AT THE ROADSIDE. THE PARISH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WILL DETERMINE WHETHER THE DEPARTMENT CAN HANDLE PICKUP ON ITS OWN.
    N WOODSIDE LANDFILL IN WALKER REOPENS FRIDAY. THE HOURS ARE 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pointe Coupee Parish

  • Parish government offices reopen Friday.
  • 18th Judicial District Court is closed Friday.
  • Reliable Landfill in Livonia reopens Friday. The hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tangipahoa Parish

  • All parish government offices remain closed Friday and reopen Tuesday, following Labor Day.
