EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH
- FEMA, OTHER AID: Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge, announced his local office will be open Friday to assist residents filing claims with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Flood Insurance Program and other agencies. - SALVATION ARMY: Many storm survivors need food, clothing and furniture, said LaGuardia Collins, development director for the Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge. LAFAYETTE PARISH
- DISASTER FUND: The Greater Acadiana United Way Disaster Fund will funnel financial contributions to storm victims in Acadia, Assumption, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, Lafourche, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, Terrebonne and Vermilion parishes. Contributions can be made through local United Way organizations, but should be made payable to the Greater Acadiana United Way Disaster Fund and designated for one or more of the 11 listed parishes. The disaster fund was jointly announced Thursday by the United Way of Acadiana, Lafayette; United Way of Iberia, New Iberia; St. Landry/Evangeline United Way, Opelousas, and United Way for South Louisiana, Houma.
