Ascension Parish

  • Ascension Parish Council Personnel Committee meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Gonzales has been canceled and will be rescheduled.
  • The Ascension Parish Senior Sock Hop on Friday has been canceled. The next scheduled sock hop is Sept. 28 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center Gymnasium.

Assumption Parish

Waste Management has canceled garbage collection Thursday.

East Baton Rouge Parish

  • The Baton Rouge Little Theater’s Thursday production of “Assassins” has been canceled. The remainder of the performances remain as scheduled on Friday and Saturday. The theater box office will reopen at 10 a.m. Thursday.
  • The Thursday Red Stick Farmers Market, held at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, 6400 Perkins Road, will close this week. The Saturday market downtown is expected to open as usual.
  • Red Stick Area Kickball games scheduled this week have been rescheduled to Oct. 23.
  • The LSU Union Art Gallery’s two upcoming programs, “The Looney Tunes: An American Pastime” and “The Origins of Animation,” have been canceled. There are no plans yet to reschedule the events.
  • Friday’s Creative Louisiana public lecture and discussion featuring Nick Hwang is canceled. The lecture will be rescheduled at a later date.

Lafourche Parish

Nicholls State University postponed its Colonel Athletic Association Renewal Party until Sept. 18.

West Feliciana Parish

A Thursday meeting to discuss rezoning and site development for landowners along the U.S. 61 and new La. 10 corridors has been canceled.
