Man convicted in fourth-offense DWI case

An Assumption Parish man has been found guilty of fourth-offense driving while intoxicated.

Marvin A. Johnson, 51, of Napoleonville, was arrested following a traffic stop on May 9, 2010. At the time, he was on probation for his third DWI conviction.

Johnson’s case was prosecuted by 23rd Judicial District Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle.

Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 3. A fourth-offense DWI conviction could mean a prison sentence of between 10 and 30 years.

For someone to be out of jail on the street after having been caught three times driving drunk and endangering the lives of everyone else on the road we have to assume that the judge who released him shares his love for alcohol and is also a drunk. So I'm betting the judge or judges who released him in the past are avid drinkers. The judges names should be in this article so voters know who the drunk judges are for the next election.
