DNR Secretary Angelle resigns

State Department of Natural Resources Secretary Scott Angelle resigned Wednesday without giving a reason for his departure from state government.

Angelle often is mentioned as a possible candidate for the Public Service Commission.

Taking Angelle’s place at DNR is Stephen Chustz, assistant secretary of the Office of Coastal Management.

Gov. Bobby Jindal praised Angelle’s service in a prepared statement.

“Scott has worn a lot of different hats for our administration and been a warrior for the people of Louisiana. He has helped shepherd critical reforms through the Legislature, including landmark education and pension laws,” the governor said.

Its been a long time since I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express - but, I bet it might have something to do with the coverup on the leak down the bayou. Just guessing - I bet Michelle will get to the bottom of this. All she has to do is read the headlines of the Advocate this morning - she will tie it up for sure.
