Baton Rouge police have identified a man found dead Aug. 2 inside a car engulfed in flames on Convention Street, a police spokesman said.
Rufino Gachuzo, 29, Hammond, was found inside the car in the 800 block of Convention at 5:47 a.m., Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said in a news release.
Baton Rouge Fire Department firefighters extinguished the fire and retrieved Gachuzo’s body, McKneely said.
The crash is still under investigation, McKneely said.
