Gov. Bobby Jindal has appointed his chief legislative lobbyist and the head of the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, Scott Angelle, as the newest member of the LSU Board of Supervisors, according to a news release.
Angelle, who served as the Louisiana’s interim lieutenant governor between May and December 2010, is considered the state’s point person for federal oil and gas permitting issues.
Angelle, of Breaux Bridge, will serve a six-year term representing Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District.
He replaces board member Tony Falterman, of Napoleonville.
