Motorcycle crash kills one, police say
A 66-year-old man died Sunday in a motorcycle crash on South Choctaw Drive, a police spokesman said.
Nicholas Albano, 11062 Chalice Drive, was thrown from his 2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster at about 11:30 p.m. after he failed to negotiate a curve in the 13700 block of South Choctaw and hit a concrete barrier, Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said.
Albano hit another concrete barrier before landing in a parking lot, Stubbs said. Albano was taken to a local hospital where he died.
Stubbs said Albano was wearing a helmet, and alcohol
and speed do not appear to have been a factors in the crash.
