• BATON ROUGE PRESS CLUB: Noon, De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St. State Sen. Karen Carter Peterson, chairwoman of the Louisiana Democratic Party, will discuss the party’s response to Gov. Bobby Jindal’s decision to refuse Medicaid expansion in the Affordable Care Act, and will discuss challenges facing the Democratic Party in Louisiana. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
