Schools to hold enrollment fair Saturday

The Recovery School District is holding an enrollment fair Saturday for seven schools that it runs in north Baton Rouge.

The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Star Hill Church Baptist Church, 1400 N. Foster Drive.

The seven participating RSD schools are Istrouma High, Capitol High, Prescott Middle, Glen Oaks Middle, Crestworth Academy, Dalton Elementary and Lanier Elementary. Six were charter schools that the state has assumed direct, but temporary, control over. Istrouma High was run by the East Baton Rouge Parish school system last year.

The state has begun describing these seven schools as the Baton Rouge Achievement Zone.
