Deputies search for missing man

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man missing for more than a week, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Robert “Keith” Perkins, 60, was last seen at Towne Center by a co-worker around 10:20 p.m. June 30 when he was supposed to report for work, Casey Rayborn Hicks said in a news release.

Members of the Mississippi Highway Patrol found Perkins’ red 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck abandoned on Silver Drive in Mississippi’s Pike County, Hicks said.

Perkins is described as a white man, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds, Hicks said. He has blue eyes and gray hair.

Perkins suffers from mental and medical conditions, and it is unknown if he is taking his medication, Hicks said.

Anyone with information about Perkins’ whereabouts is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 389-5000.
